05/11/2010 M-3 Information’s iPhone app helps people fight depression and anxiety, by IntoMobile

M-3 Information is “porting” a piece of its mymoodmonitor.com website (M-3 Checklist) to an iPhone app called mym3. The application brings the validated mental health questionnaire to the palm of your iHand, creating a “bridge between user responses and recommendations set forth in the content-rich M3 website application.” According to M-3 Information’s press release, this kind of an app has the potential to greatly improve the “dynamics of healthcare delivery for individuals who might otherwise suffer in silence.” Among the especially targeted groups are, among others, college students and military populations. In addition to the mentioned questionnaire, there’s the ever useful one-button link to Mental Health America’s National Suicide Hotline, which I’m hoping you’ll never have to tap. Price wise, the mym3 app costs $2.99 and M-3 Information will contribute a portion of the proceeds to Mental Health America, which is a nice thing to do. Finally, the press release ends with commitment to release Android and BlackBerry apps in the near future. Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis. Read More
