Today’s list contains the extremely popular Bit Pilot as well as another classic title with pilot in its name, Paper Pilot.  The only iPad app we could track down is actually a really useful one that allows you to do a lot more than just record audio. Bit Pilot ($.99 -> Free): A retro inspired game that features intuitive swipe controls.  The idea of the game is to survive for as long as possible by navigating your ship around the asteroids.  To pilot your ship, simply swipe in whichever direction you want to head.  The game also features OpenFeint integration. Bit Pilot is available for free today only (6/21). It has a four-star rating. Paper Pilot ($2.99 -> Free): A classic iPhone title if there ever was one.  In the game you guide your paper airplane through a variety of environments in order to collect paper clips.  The paper airplane is controlled via tilt and touch controls. Barnyard Bounce Deluxe ($.99 -> Free): A tapping game where you must try to keep your barnyard animal in the air for as long as possible.  Items and power-ups litter the screen, and you must tap the good ones to score bonus points while also trying to avoid the bad ones.  The game also includes OpenFeint integration. Barnyard Bounce Deluxe is available for free today only (6/21). It doesn’t currently have a rating. Fly Away ($.99 -> Free): An action flying game where you must attempt to travel the furthest distance possible.  Your plane’s altitude is controlled by simply touching the left portion of the screen, and your plane’s weapons are controlled by tapping the right.  Travel the furthest distance without crashing to move up the leaderboards. Fly Away is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time.  It doesn’t currently have a rating. Universal: Smart Recorder ($2.99 -> Free): Allows you to do a lot more than just record audio.  The app features the ability to add time-based tags to quickly jump back to important portions of a recording, take pictures while recording (iPhone only), transfer files to your desktop computer, upload files to Box.net, and much more. Panoramatic 360 is an app that offers iPhone users a chance to take their mobile photography to new levels buy creating panoramic shots. The app gives users an interface created for the difficult job by bringing tools like a digital level and rules to make sure the shot is lined up correctly. As users take photos, the app will provide a ghost image on the side of the screen so they can line up the next image. Once all of the shots are taken, the app builds a preview of what the final image will look like. If the user deems the result worthy, they can then let the program render the full-size final image and upload it to Facebook and the Panoramatic gallery as well as email it to a friend. The app's algorithm is surprisingly accurate and rendered my office panorama in all it's cramped glory. Overall, for the price being asked and the results it will offer, the app is truly an amazing find. The only complaint I can really offer is that the load and render times can get ridiculously long and you might find yourself setting your phone down for a bit while it does it's job.
