12/01/2010 [app] 360 Panorama – der Rundumblick, by iPhoneBlog.de

‘‘ (2.39 €; App Store-Link) oder ‘You Gotta See This!‘ (1.59 €; App Store-Link) verfolgen andere, ebenfalls kreative Ansätze, die jedoch eine Echtzeit-Aufnahme vermissen. 08/16/2010 Homescreens – August 2010, by iPhoneBlog.de

Read More

07/29/2010 iOS4 Updated Apps: Osfoora, Agendus, Reeder, AT&T MyWireless, Pano,, by The iPhone Blog

By Allyson Kazmucha, Thursday, Jul 29, 2010 | As you all know by now, we’re still watching for iOS4 updates that crop up in the app store, and as always, if you guys see interesting ones, feel free to let us know.  Here’s the ones we found in the last week or so, and if you haven’t checked for updates, go check that update tab and let us know if you caught something we didn’t! Osfoora has taken the place as my favorite Twitter client (for now anyways). They received an iOS4 update we covered a few weeks back, but this one is even better. It adds full retina display support for the iPhone 4 and boy is it pretty. The whole app got somewhat of a facelift as well. The text really pops and the main menus have been revamped. So if you haven’t updated, go for it, or if you are looking for a Twitter client, Osfoora is definitely one of the best around. Agendus is basically an all-in-one app for all the important information on your phone. It basically intertwines your contacts, calendars, and apps into one native app. If you’ve always wanted something that would do this, Agendus is more than decent. The new version adds iOS4 support as well as a new high res icon. Reeder is one of my favorite RSS clients. If you don’t have one and want a full featured one with Google Reader integration, there’s a good chance Reeder will do what you need it to, and then some. This update adds support for the iPhone 4 retina display. The icon just looks so fancy on my homescreen now, as well as all my articles being incredibly sharp. Good job on this one guys, it’s an awesome update. [iTunes Link] AT&T just pushed through an update to their MyWireless app that adds retina support for the iPhone 4. This app basically allows you to view usage, manage features, and even pay your bill via the app. I’ve been using it to pay my bill for quite a while now. Pretty convenient. If you’re an AT&T customer, go ahead and pick it up, it’s free. Pano is an awesome app to stitch together pics on the go. It’ll save them directly in your camera roll. The interface is dead easy to use and once you snap a pic it’ll give you guides to Read More

04/15/2010 Panoramic iPhone photo app Pano updated to 4.0, on sale now, by TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog

Debacle Software's Pano app has been a photo favorite since the App Store opened in 2008. The Toronto-based development team announced that they've shipped version 4.0 of the app, with new and improved features (a recent scaling update has since bumped it to version 4.0.1). As we've discussed before here at TUAW, Pano lets you take panoramic photos with your iPhone camera by giving you a semi-transparent guide to help you align adjacent shots. You can even take 360° panoramic photos if you so desire; it just takes a steady hand and sixteen photos. Once you've taken all of your individual photos, Pano stitches them together to make a seamless photo like the one you see above (which I took in Miami, FL). The new version of the software not only speeds up the process of aligning and blending your photos together, but sports an improved user interface as well. If you're tempted by Pano, you'll be thrilled to know that the app is currently on sale for just US$0.99 -- it's usually $2.99, and even at the higher price it's a bargain. Anyone who is a fan of photography on the iPhone should pick up a copy of Pano while it's on sale. You'll be glad you did! Read More

04/12/2010 What's on your iPhone, Steve Sande?, by TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog

is a new TUAW series that we'll run occasionally so you can see what the bloggers at your favorite Apple site are running on their pocket devices. This was suggested by one of our readers, who wanted to know just what kind of stuff we had on our iPhones. Since we're a group of individuals who all think a bit differently, it makes a lot of sense to have each of the bloggers in turn write up a short blurb on their favorite apps. In this post I'll list those apps that deserve special attention, but to see all of the apps that I currently have on my iPhone 3GS, you'll need to take a look at the gallery at the end of the post. To start with, you'll find that I have a lot of camera apps. In nearly three years, I've used my iPhones to take literally thousands of pictures. I love the look of most of the photos, and it's even more fun to run them through a filter or two to add some pizazz to the pics. I currently have the default iPhone Camera and Photos apps, but have added Best Camera, Zoom Lens, Pano, Color Splash, Project 365, Lo-Mob, Self Image, ReelDirector (for video), FocalLab, CinemaFX, iTimeLapse, iCamcorder (for video), and CameraForiPad to my 3GS. eBook readers make up another big category of iPhone apps for me -- I've loaded Kindle for iPhone, eReader, and Stanza onto the 3GS. You can bet that when iBook appears on the iPhone platform later this year, I'll add it immediately. I like to travel, although I'm not traveling for business as much as I had in previous years. I keep TripIt, Trip Journal, Ships Ahoy!, and FlightTrack on the 3GS to help keep me informed and amused while I'm traveling. I'm not what you'd exactly call a gamer, so my game choices are pretty dull. Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition has been a favorite for years, Skee-Ball is still on my phone (although I don't play it often), and Flick Bowling and Flick Bowling 2 are also still on this phone. DoodleJump is still my favorite iPhone game, although I frankly suck at it, and Astraware Solitaire, Scrabble, and Apple's own Texas Hold'em are also keepers. I do some personal blogs from the iPhone using Tumblr and WordPress, but I want to move the blogging to my Read More

Read More
